The Brighton and Hove Decorative & Fine Arts Society is registered with The National Association of Decorative and Fine Arts Societies (NADFAS). The Brighton and Hove Society was founded in 1986 by Mrs E. Noel, our first Chairman, and later President. At that time the only society reasonably close was in Henfield, so she and a group of ladies who were members decided to start a new society at Brighton and Hove. A steering committee was formed and each person undertook to invite ten people to join them, thus the society took off.
